I’m running for Public School Board Trustee because students and families deserve trustees who listen, ask thoughtful questions, and make informed decisions with students at the centre.

My commitment to public service has been shaped by many roles: as a mom, former City and Regional Councillor, former Child and Youth Advocate, business owner, community advocate, T-ball coach, and volunteer. Each has taught me the importance of listening to different perspectives, asking difficult questions, and being accountable to the people you serve.

As a parent, I spent more than two years navigating Ontario’s public education system on behalf of my own child. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges families can face when a student needs additional support.

It also inspired me to found Safe at School Ontario, a parent-led initiative advocating for stronger safety and support for students with prevalent medical conditions. Through this work, I have advocated for improvements to Ontario’s PPM 161 and helped bring families’ experiences directly into the policy conversation.

I believe my experience in public service, advocacy, business, community involvement, and as a parent gives me a valuable perspective to bring to the KPR District School Board.

I’m running to represent Brighton, Cramahe Township, and Quinte West–Murray Ward as a thoughtful, accessible, and accountable trustee who will listen, ask the difficult questions, and keep students at the centre of every decision.
